Flat Jack Rock Stress Cell

The Flat Jack Rock Stress Cell consists of two steel plates separated by hydraulic oil. The meter has an extremely low profile and can be inserted in a slit in the rock sawn by a conventional diamond blade

Once the sensor has been installed, it is pumped up with the appurtenant hydraulic pump, after which the counter-pressure can be read off. The system also comprises a compensation system in order to give consideration to any deformation in the sawn slit during the period between sawing and the installation of the sensor.

In the case of fully-automatic measuring, measurement data can be collected automatically by our data loggers and presented online on the Internet in our web system, where alarms are received and access is given to measurement values that are presented in a clear and effective way.
