Extensometer, Glötzl - type

The extensometer consists of a rod, fixed with an anchor at one end and a reference fixture at the other. Displacements between the anchor and the reference can be read off with a manual dial indicator, or alternatively with an electric sensor for automatic reading.

Several extensometers can be installed in the same borehole. The rods can also be supplied in different materials. Alternatively, the extensometer can be surface-mounted or placed in various types of fill. If the extensometer is fitted with an electric sensor, it can be easily connected to our data loggers for automatic measurement and online presentation in our web system.
