Single Geometrik-type extensometer

The extensometer is used primarily for measuring displacements in rock during excavation or tunnel driving. The measurement of deformations is used to check how well the calculated deformations match up with the real deformations. This provides an indication of how well the assumed material parameters concur with reality.

Extensometers are also used for measuring deformations in rock caverns with a new and unusual design to guarantee a safe and economically viable construction. We can also manufacture specially designed extensometers on the basis of project-specific specifications. In the case of fully-automatic measuring, measurement data can be collected automatically by our data loggers and presented online on the Internet in our web system, where alarms are received and access is given to measurement values that are presented in a clear and effective way.
